District 6990 Leadership Seminar – Saturday, April 2
If you have served as a club president, or in a club leadership role for three or more years, and wonder “what’s next?” then this is the Seminar for you! Rotarians with a passion for service who have demonstrated the potential for holding future leadership positions at the district level or beyond are encouraged to attend this FREE learning and networking opportunity. Members of the governor corps will be there to answer the question, “What can I do for Rotary and Rotarians outside as well as inside of my club?”
The purpose of the Leadership Seminar is for Rotarians to learn about leadership opportunities in Rotary and motivate them to serve in Rotary leadership positions beyond the club – at the district, zone, and international levels. Learn about the many areas where you might serve your D6990 clubs and members, and network with other leaders from around our district.
We’ll cover topics such as:
* What Does it Take To Be a Leader?
* Leadership Theories & Styles
* Tenets of Motivation
* Communication Skills
* Leadership Strategies for Volunteers
* Trends in Rotary
* Goal Setting and Accountability
* Strategic & Succession Planning
* Consensus Building and Teamwork
* Structure of District 6990 and Leadership Opportunities
* Service Beyond the District Level
Join in the discussion, meet new Rotary friends, and take away things to think about in your professional and Rotary lives. The three-hour seminar begins at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2016, and will be held on the Nova Southeastern University Campus in the DeSantis Building Conference Center, Room 3000. Registration is now open on the DaCdb Calendar, so sign up today for this interesting, informative, free, and fun D6990 learning and networking opportunity.
